About Us
Located in the friendly village of Travancinha, 12 km from the cities of Seia and Oliveira do Hospital, Chão do Rio is the ideal accommodation to get to know the entire region of the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela throughout the different seasons.
Upon arrival, guests already have at their disposal various products for their next morning breakfast in a big basket in the house. Fresh bread is delivered every day at 5 pm. And they may prepare their own meals in the comfort of their accommodation. There are available facilities of shared barbecues and wood oven. Upon request, meals may also be delivered, made at a nearby restaurant.
In Chão do Rio there are also other facilities such as a playground, free bicycles, wheelbarrows (to carry cases or just play with children), a small regional gift shop, a large tank made of stone for laundry washing, an outdoor fireplace, a vegetable garden, a picnic area and farm animals.
Pets: allowed on request. Additional charges may apply.
Our houses
On Chão do Rio there are six houses. Pets are allowed in all of them. And all benefit from a lounge area with flat-screen TV, a CD player, a kitchenette, a dining area, a private bathroom and a balcony with terrace.
Each of the houses has a distinct personality, suggested by the different decor that is reflected in the name of each.
